- This is referring to "Sporadic form" of retinoblastoma. You can google "Retinoblastoma Sporadic vs Hereditary/Familial". google images might also help you.

-I think it is referring to Familial Adenomatous polyposis, which is an Autosomal Dominant, and even if we don't know that, we can just figure out the mode of inheritance from the given info. She is affected, her father had it as well as her grandfather, this is a description of an autosomal dominant disease. And once we know that we, can choose the answer.

my pleasure.

- Dx is "Drug-induced Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia". Penicillin is acting as a hapten, producing antibodies that also react with R.B.C. These antibody-coated red blood cells get removed by splenic macrophages. When these red blood cells get lysed, heme get released and broken down into unconjugated bilirubin(Jaundice) and anemia and so on. Direct Coombs test is done to detect antibody-coated red blood cells that resulted in autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

-What you don't understand about it?

-Look at the diagram in the following link (just the diagram, not the text), and you can note that there is a 25% chance (1:4) of having the same HLA type as of your sibling.

Hey Metformin500mg, you are such a sweet heart. Ok for number 4, the word superficial kind of through me off at first, but I do understand it now after reading through my FA 2018, because it said that Dysplasia and Carcinoma in situ; begins at basal layer of squamocolumnar junction(transformation zone) and extends outward. Please disregard this particular question, and I really do appreciate you so much for volunteering to help me out metformin500mg. Please continue to help with the remaining questions if you can, and if not then that is ok. Also, your good deeds, God sees and will reward you for!!!!

-This patient with a history chronic hypertension is most likely suffering from left heart failure (decreased cardiac outpout), causing the blood to back up in the lungs (Crackles are heard bilaterally, shortness of breath) and that resulting into increased afterload for the right side of the heart, raising the pressure in the right heart chambers, which get transmitted back to central vein.

-High cardiac output to the pulmonary circulation during exercise will cause the distension and recruitment of micovessels and that would cause the increase in total cross-sectional area.

- I don't know how to explain this one, but basically when the muscle run out of fuel (eg, glucose) and/or producing less ATP and "increased" accumulation of metabolites (option A to D), it is a sign of onset of muscle fatigue. The stem is asking which of the following will "Decrease"? , and it is the pH that will decrease (acidosis) due to the accumulation of lactic acid (remember Glycolysis pathway where pyruvate get converted to lactic acid).

- It is the vitamin D3 that causes the increase in calcium absorption from the GI tract, and it is driven from 7-dehydrocholestrol.
