why all this panic for H1b? -

Is H1b visa important for an IMG who wants to return to his country after residency-fellowship completion? If you have J1visa do you face any kind of problems? Please help me!

H1B visa is a working permit sponsored by the program to which you will work.-and will hold good for 3 yrs and can be extended for another 3 yrs .meanwhile you could be eligible for Green card.Whereas J1 is a visa provided by ECFMG(through exchange sponsorship) to work in a program to which you hold a contract-and it has to be renewed every year,untill you are in that program.As soon as you are out of the program you got to go back to your country for 2 yrs and all through this time -no eligibility to get H1/Greencard.Hope this will answer your question.If you have anymore questions look up the ECFMG and click on Visa sponsorship.
