I will be very thankful if any body explain to me what is match , pre match and post match.

They are parts of the system that extorts money from you without any chance of getting into residency, unless you are an American medical graduate.

hey laila,

match is a system where an applicant gets matched by computer to the residency program that best suits them and the program. depending on how many programs u apply and how many interviews u get, u can rank in order of ur preference where u want to go. the program also ranks those who come in to interview in order of which applicants they want most. then one day of the year, the computerized process is done and u find ur results. if u make a deal with a program prior to this match date, on ur own, or sometimes they offer bc they r desperate for candidates, this is called prematch. if u dont get matched on match day, then u have to again search for programs and that is called post match. and yes, some fmg's do get residencies here in the US. best of luck hope this helps and hope all fmg's get what they want.
