hi, as an img,with 89 in step1 ,3 good LOR from us physicians,what is the minimum req. to get into residency program(IM and university based)???

Dear Friend There's nothing like minimum requirement,some of the programs have a cut of score at 80 or 85.There are still a lot of programs who accept candidates with 75. You have to sell yourself,project yourself to be a mature, confident and somebody who can take decisions independently, they don't want anyone who requires a lot of training in all aspects you know what I mean,show that you could be easy going and tend to pick up things fast than your other colleagues,this is all thay are looking, trained candidates are placed easily with low scores,a fresh MBBS graduate really need to get high scores as it is the only parameter which they are guaged.
