Could anyone tell me if a IMG, with 99 and 95 scores, not a GC holder, research experience in my country with published articles in american journals, surgical electives in US, fresh graduate, get a position in orthopaedics?

I guess you can, but that greatly depends on your country of graduation.

I'm not an expert, you should know better the reputation that your specialists have. Of course, it's much easier if you would be a European or Australian graduate, but why not try it in the US??
All your other credentials look very good. Much will depend on how competitive Orthopedic Surgery will rank among American medical grads. I know a guy with much lower scores who got a couple of interviews, even though he didn't match. Good luck.

First of all lots of congratulations for such wonderful scores! Could you please spare couple of minutes and tell me how one can get scores above 90?
I would really appreciate your sincere reply.
I know that even getting 80 is so difficult and scoring above 90 -----, for a person like me it sounds almost impossible.
Any how waiting for your kind and sincere reply, I assure you that I will not compete with you, so donot worry.
Thanks for your time and efforts.

I completely disagree with these other friends who can't get into surgery with such good scores, perhaps you have tried in wrong places or something's seriously wrong in your personal statement, you could be contradicting yourself,go through it again, gen. surgical residency is not hot as it was before and more and more IMGs are getting into categorical programs, you only need to have 80 and above to be considered for surgery and a lot of people have made it through with 80s.There are increasing number of doctors with 75,76,77,78 getting into surgery,I am not joking, trust me.It's only that you've got be in the right place and in the right time and prove that you are genuinely interested in surgery and show some surgical experience if you have any.

I am a greencard holder and a cardiac surgeon in London and I have turned down surgey-preliminary in NY as I wante to settle in Miami and perhaps try next year,I don't have wonderful scores but I am a MS and triple FRCS from UK and a DNB in cardiothoracic and doing some research in London.

The reason that I have stated my situation is to boost my other friends who have publications and good scores. You are bound to get into surgery if you persevere,I can go on like this.

About getting 90s in the examinations is knowing the trick to crack the system and undoubtedly hard work, god bless those of you with such wonderful scores,we shall all get there in persuasion of our enduring pain

Hey KVH...Why you bringing the doc down?
Try again if you've had such bad luck, but don't project all your shit onto everyone else
