@bharat1. I am not sure what you mean. There was always a prejudice. American education was always preferred. There is nothing new in this case. However, earlier FMGs would be selected for interviews on the basis of their USMLE scores. What this PD is saying is that he no longer relies on the high scores for interview selection and with the choice he has amongst FMGs that have USCE (esp Carib grads), he will no longer select anybody directly from India unless they have US experience. So he is only going one more step, but the prejudice has always been there. In fact last year I know his program had only one Indian grad but he had done all of his rotations in NY hospitals.
