so I found another psychiatry 2016 invite/rejection forum.. There people is actually getting response. I am assuming they are AMG. and first AMG get call for interview? is this right?.
Are you talking about SDN? Yeah don't ever go to that forum, it gonna give you heart attacks.
AMG gonna get 1st picks. But that doesn't matter. They are most likely applying to places we shouldn't apply to in the 1st place. Except for people applying to places since it's in their same state.
Me neither, I do not know what's wrong here this year, just 1 rej from St. Louis, I do not even get a rej from CoLorado
Silence is killer. Even rejection is sometimes better. At least you know that you have been eliminated.(KO)

I'm starting to think late October might be more realistic.
Despite SDN flaws, PD do posts there.
There been a few posts that they have a lot of applicants this year. They said it's not more people applying to Psychiatry, it's just that it's more people are applying wider.
It use to be that we can apply to 50 programs.
AMGs can apply to like 20 programs.
Now we are applying up to 100 programs.
And AMGs are applying to 40 programs. AMGs use to go to 6-7 interviews and call it a day. Now you have people going to 15 interviews.
As a result it causes a huge delay were PDs have to sort out the paperwork. They have to invite the best they can get, but they have to also make sure they won't be ranked 15 on the persons ROL.
