Congratulations on your interviews! I have a somewhat invasive question. Please, do not feel pressured to answer. Are you a native of the Detroit/Michigan area?
No, but my application was tailored towards areas involving low socioeconomic areas. CV in med school was blank, since med school was a struggle to survive.
But I had a lot community services done in undergrad and during a gap year to apply for medical school. So I did a lot of volunteering at low income areas. So I think maybe that's why I have an invite? Since it is in Detroit.
Or it could just be fate? Who knows? I think also I have a few alumnus that are residents there. So it could be just reputation.
Like so and so resident is a hard worker, and this person is from same school. So maybe he will also be a hard worker? (Which I am, but it's a bit easier if program has experience from students from same school.)
