To nawao and sbt: Sorry, I don't think I've come across enough cases like yours to be able to give you any accurate advice. In my program there's zero FMG's, exept for myself, and I don't know many foreign path residents to be honest. The few that I know had an atypical path to pathology, including switching from other specialties with good inside connections etc. I also know one resident who did path overseas and applied here: scores in the high 80's, not sure about LOR's. She got several interviews and ended up at a very good university hospital. Hope this helps.

I just heard from one program in northeast. This program only have 3 positions for PGY1 in the year 2007. You know what it has already received mpre than 1000 applications. For IMG, only with above 95/95/pass scores can be considered for interview. Some candidates have very high scores, 99/99/pass/98. Now I know how competitive of Pathology.

why do you mind telling us which program?

library,
I don't want to tell you the name of the program, but It is definitly true. The thing I only can tell you is this program is a community hospital, university affiliated, and locates in a small state of Northeast area (not NY, CT, MA and NH).This sate only has this one program for pathology. Now I think which program it is. I applied this program, but I didn't get offer for interview.
