thats not a metastatic malignancy its a metaplasia induced by gerd so no need, after that ppis and if gerd symptoms reccur then only the whole problem

The online sites I checked say 10 and greater.
And for the post esophagectomy, it say regular follow up. Don't know what that means. Regular follow up with endoscopies. Or regular follow up to say, 'Dude how are u feeling'.

I'm now more convinced that regular followup should be the answer ( esp if its how are you types Tongue) or any surgery patients you need to follow up .. and this happens to be outta cancer premonition ... You dont know if the left over esophagus has any further predisposition for metaplasia... atleast thats the least we can do for our prey ( the patient)..

caution: this is more out of my logical thinking rather than evidence based... anyone getting hold of supporting stuff would be most welcome to correct my magical thinking!
