1. excision of the tibial tubercle
2. immobilization with a hard cast
3.regular use of NSAIDS
4.rest & ice after physical activity
5.rest , ice & crutches for 6 wks

in kaplan its given "it is generally treated with immobilization of the knee in an extension or cylinder cast for 4-6 weeks"

the answer of this question is IMMOBILIZATION WITH HARD CAST .
BCOZ NO NSAID WORK NO ICE WORK ONLY IMMOBILIZATION WORKS

this is recurent cond. will recurr till skeletal maturity.
u cant put him in cast for another 4 - 6 yrs.
ans shud be ice & rest plus NSAIDS occasionally only
