@lindou
Did u get the email I sent ur "Lindachimi@yahoo.fr". ??
Hi guys. I was a silent reader of this thread. I found it extremely helpful and I want to say thank you for such a great thread.
I got interview invite from Kingsbrook Jewish this Friday. There is very small amount of information about this program on their website. I found some post from other residency sites telling the residents are not so happy and neighborhood is dangerous, however they were posted 4-5 years before. Could you please shed some light about this program?

@ gikson

This isn't really the thread for asking program specific questions but things to keep in mind are....no resident is happy...anywhere. It just doesn't come with the territory of working 80+ hours a week and having a non-existent social life.

Look up neighborhoods online you can check local news papers, reviews, average income levels, school rankings etc to get a feel of the community. Then interview at the hospital and just go but what feels right in your gut and rank accordingly, to be honest your going to spend more time in the hospital than 'in the community' and you only have 3 years there then you can leave.

The only programs you have to be wary of are those which fire residents often. Thankfully this is farrrr from common place and more often than not it is probably the resident's fault even though we only hear their sides of the story on these and other forums. Good luck and congrats on the interview.
@lindou
I,m looking for a way to do that urgently. Pls let me know if u find any!!
Thank you to ALL who have contributed so far to this thread!

Please continue to post in this thread any interviews/rejections for IM so we all know where the programs stand.

Thank you! I updated the lists with your info!
@babanya, I don't want to be a nuisance but would you mind sharing information on how you were able to get a job as a Nurse Practitioner? I've been looking for Clinical/Medical jobs in the interim with no success.
