@redoce YES! ATN MC cz of acute RF in hospitals/doctor induced 40%. Pat here present with HypOtension 2ndry to vol depletion & sepsis -> risk RF. “Dx ATN” ↑ *urine Na ( typically greater than 40mEq/L) here is 50s & FE of urine Na (typically over 2%) both -> indicator of loss Na through loss of tubular func.
*Passage of Na -> disrupted with damage first place to hit is the PCT -> shedding brush border -> “granular casts”.
