@nerdman, I don't know if Baylor gave any prematches or not. I haven't heard of anyone getting a prematch there this year. Hard to say about liking/disliking of candidates. I assume if they invite you to an iv, they must like something about you.
@docx, I'm sorry my iv isnt till 31st, so I can't answer that question for you. If your iv is before then, then please do share your iv experience.
@smartneuro, buddy, it's nice to hear from you too! I'm hopeful that we will make it! What happened at BCM iv that you don't think it went that well? Did they give you any negative vibes in the iv? I would think that once they invite you for an iv, they must like your app. Keep the hopes up buddy! As far as prelim, that's a tough spot, and I am thinking (not sure yet) of ranking advanced programs down my list just for that reason too.

All those currently on research are you planning to go on J1 or h1b if you get matched?
@ nerdman, further info won't help coz it won't change anything from ur side. anyway, it was my feeling and what i have heard of taking their postdoc and people they know from IMG pool.
@ guru, i had this negative vibe cos no one actually paid attention to my interview,and they rushed me to the point i was going to ask: why did u invite me to start with. I would've felt so bad if i had to travel , but it was a short walk!! hehehe
@smart, sorry to hear about your negative iv experience there. How was your iv at UT though? I can't believe we have less then 2 months before the match. It seems just like yesterday we all started this process.

can you please highlight why some programs sponsor H1b and others don't. is it due to paper work/cost or some thing else.

no even I dint hear anything back....most of my neuro prog did reply me back except baylor...so was just curious....
during one of my iv , one of the interviewer told me to come for 2nd view. it really gives nice impression....now that prog is advanced...i like the prog but den I hv 2 fly from south to north...what u guys suggest? shud i go for 2nd view??
