yeah, DG, we are all curious about and appreciate your experience, your communications with happy_doc made us even more curious
I think it is unfair for DG to send her experience to everybody here. Maybe we should also send our own IVs to her and exchange our feelings and doubts and experiences. I can see the overwelming demonds here and maybe more at SDN to DG. Personality and communication skills are important for the IVs and I suggest that everyone here should show their positive sides to the interviewers and be honest to their quesitons. GL to everybody and Happy Thanksgiving. enjoy your meal!
Thank God!!! I was rejected by upenn!!!
This time it was Loyola. Polite but scary:
"We have had an abundance of excellent applicants, which made competition for our program extremely aggressive."
LOYOLA...rejection!!!! oh god

Has anybody started calling programmes?
Loyola rejection too.............................
What has happened to pathology...so competitive...i guess many programmes will go to scramble, since there must be a huge applicant pool applying to same programmes. UPMC had 500 applications and I belive that most of the pathology applicants must have applied there....so 500 to 600 pathology applicants

Anybody have guess about the number of pathology residency positions this season?
Please correct me if I am wrong
I called several programs last week..Emory said they dont reject applications as such but just keep everything on hold(but 2 days later they send the rejection!!She must have been talking about AMGs).
Baylors said they have sent out the first round of iv's (since no one in this forum has heard from them, all the iv's must have gone to AMG's)
U of Arkansas said the same thing..
U of cincinati said they didnt get the review of my application from the reviewers yet.
Albert Einstein coordinator was pretty rude when she said they dont tell the status of the application to anyone..either we hear from them or dont!!
Most of the other progrmas i couldnt get hold of the residency coordinators and most program directors phone has voicemail saying that if the call is abt residency application give a call to the coordinator..
Thats all i can remember..Hope one of you give it a try as well and let us know..
I received a polite email from Washington University today saying that my application was very good but that they had given out all their interviews. They then asked if I would like to be placed on hold in case of any cancellations. Did anyone else receive a similar email from them?
