hi guys, for those of us who just got our cs results yesterday, i just called ecfmg and wanted to share what i learned. they told me that an updated ecfmg status report should be sent within the next few days of our latest exam result. and then another one will be sent once we're "certified" officially.

as for the profile, we can't change that until we see on oasis that we are officially certified (certification page).

Hi 3649736, Thanks for your nice words. I applied only 30 programs(around New York, Florida and Texas) because I really do not want to interview all over the places (if I could get). Now, I do not know what to do.

Do you usually contact the PD after you apply their programs?

No, I didn't... why would I call?

I know they got my application (through ERAS), so its just about waiting... If I were a PD, I would not like people calling trying to make pressure.

Besides, I don't have any reason to call an try to speed an invitation. I would have to lie or make up an excuse, which is not consistent with my personal ethics values.

Another reason: I would hate to seem desperate... like "you do not have any call so you are calling me"
