i've done the same thing that acetate has and have my handful of new rejections to add as well...

and yet i also have about 10 programs that i have NOT heard from either way...

is the season pretty much over guys???

still trying to hold on to the hope that a couple more interview offers will come, but then again i'm not expecting anything. folks, i have 4 interviews total. the 3 i've gone to seem real interested in me and i'd be happy to go to any of them. in the end, we all really need just one program right? and if you work hard enough, you'll reach your goal of becoming an awesome pathologist no matter where you train. guess i'm trying to pep myself up just as much as i'm trying to keep everyone else thinking positively! good luck everyone!

thanks darri...well, it was a general feeling that i had during my interviews. some have said that i was a strong candidate (of course they may say this to everyone), but i felt that their actions toward me reflected their interest. i can't say anything for sure, but i felt good about the 3 interviews i've been to. let's just say i felt it in my gut.

anyway, hope everyone has had the same experiences with their interviews. congrats to those who've gotten so many invites. hopefully we all match to a great program!

Congratulations on your interviews. Could you tell me if you got your rejections BIDH, SUNY-Upstate, and New Mexico rejections a while ago, or only recently. It would help me to know, to determine whether really I'm on hold at these places, or if they simply will never send any answer.

I emailed U New Mexico long ago and was told that I was on hold, but they wished me luck. I've been waiting for any news, but nothing up until now, so I've decided that it's a rejection.

Beth Israel said that they have filled all their interview slots. I got this response early in December.

SUNY-Upstate said that 2 of their positions have been taken as pre-matches and I would not likely be invited to interview for their 1 remaining position. Or something like that. This was also early in December.

Were you actually told by the programs under your "on hold" heading that you were "on hold?" I have been given that status with U New Mexico (which I haven't heard from since) and Wash U (which followed up with an apology and a good luck in the match).

With regards to U of Illinois Chicago, did they reply to your email? I've emailed a few times but have been ignored.

Anyway, good luck all. Let's try to enjoy the rest of the year without worrying too much!!!

I have received a prematch offer and started my residency already. Long working hours (7Am to 9pm). I did not have weekends in the first three weeks. I felt really tired. But during this holiday season, it is good and felt a little relaxed.
