D2 in the brain...remember Increased DA in brain-->psychosis!! due to D2 receptors so we use antidopaminergic drugs (antipsychotic drugs) therefore S/E of heyperprolactinemia with them!!

@raw: when u do 1-2 block uw a day, when do u do the explanations? also, r u just doing the incorrects this time around & do u read detailed explanation for each q or just the ones u get wrong?

@owl: repetition helps, need to get through all the topics as fast as possible to remember them better. the longer we wait, the more we forget.

@owl: ur little pneumonics for the lymphomas were pretty good.

to add: follicular lymphoma is c/b translocation of bcl2 oncogene from chromosome 18 to next to Ig heavy chain region on chromosome 14 ---> over expression of bcl2 & inc bcl2 protein

(this is what i have in my notes but is the actual translation the other way around, oncogene on 14 moves next to 18?)

bcl- stands for b cell lymphoma, prevents release of pro-apoptotic factors in effected cells.

s&s- painless LN enlargement, abd. discomfort from an abd. mass

carpe: i will start doing it carpe...like i said this is my second round so i have already written detailed explanations in my FA...so this time round when i read my fa i also go thru uw notes ( i have added additional pages and all of my fa is filled with ink...lol) so doing one block will really take 2 hours and not more than that!

@raw: so u r doing all q's mixed timed 2nd time or just incorrects? i know u've taken notes & dont write 2nd time around but do u read detailed explanation for each q or how do u do it? u seem to be getting thru them pretty fast

@raw: wanted to ask u & forgot, u were searching for a live sp & i think u found one close to where u live, do u guys study together & r u finding it helpful?!

carpe: i dont know why u think im doing uw so quickly i wish i could do that...maybe u misunderstood me...i just reset my UW and will start doing 1 block per day and slowly increase my stamina to do 2-3 blocks per day...right now im doing dit and its pretty much taking a lot of time...i dont know why people say its just 5-6 hours...for me its taking around 7-8 hours per day,...and then i have to break days in between to read what all has been done in those lectures...here and there i would do UW but now i will start it form monday...to do timed random blocks...slowly increasing my stamina...
yes in second round it does take only 2 hours to do one block 1 hour to finish it and then one hour to review it....its really only the difficult ones where i would pay attention...if at an answer i know the concept...i will just move on after reading educational objective.

as for my sp..no i just have hardluck...she never replied to me...im not looking for sp...but more just to find people near me...who might be in the same situation as me...i dont even care which steps they are giving and what stage of prep they are in...but just to have some friends in the same situation would be nice for motivation...

only 25 pgs .. am so dissapointed .. i guess i ve to pay for wasting my time today .. going to sleep . will try to wake up at 6 ..
